Chime does not connect

I bought a chime about a month ago and I have not been able to connect it to my wifi.

Hey @Chime64. What happens when you try to connect the Chime to wifi? Can you take a screenshot of where you are getting stuck in the app with?

It always says setup did not complete. I attached a screenshot

@Chime64 Thanks for getting back to me! It looks like the Chime cannot connect to your home wifi network. Are you able to plug it in closer to the router to see if that helps? What light pattern do you get on the Chime when it states in the app that it cannot connect to the wifi network? Do you have any other Ring devices connected to your home wifi network yet?

The chime on the hallway will just blink slowly but will not connect to the wi-fi network. When I open the ring app on my PC and click on the devices it lists the two devices. I have the doorbell and the hallway chime however the doorbell works fine and shows a green dot by its side; the chime shows a red dot and will not connect to the wi-fi network. I tried all the suggestions: closer to the modem, pressing the reset button, resetting the modem, downloaded the user manual and follow carefully the steps to connect the chime, no luck. I even tried to reinstall it using the app on my smart phone but it just remains blinking slowly and never connects. So, no luck. Have tried over fifty times to no avail, it will stop take a couple of seconds blink fast and after a few more seconds the blue light just blinks slowly but it will never goes steady and connect to my wi-fi. I get the message something went wrong and try again. Needles to say retry no connection to the wi-fi.
