Can the Ring Chime connect to a seperate network at a remote location?
troubleshooting
chime

I am looking into buying a ring chime for my existing system with about 12 cameras. I want to set up the chime at a separate location on a separate network, but link it to the existing cameras to alert when motion is detected. Will this work, or does it need to be in the same location geographically/ be on the same network?

Hi @Wareman22. In theory, this could work, although I have not tested this myself. In the Ring app, you would have to set it up on the same location as all of your devices. You can also use an Amazon Alexa device to notify you, which can be anywhere. I would suggest buying the Chime from Amazon, so in case it doesn’t work as you’d hoped, you can easily return it.
