Bridge needed?

I’m planning to purchase a Ring transformer to control my non-Ring landscape lights. This will be the only Ring product I own. Do I need the Ring Bridge to control the transformer via WiFi? Thanks.

Great question @Zipforia! The Smart Lighting Bridge will be needed to control the smart features of your lights. The Smart Lighting Transformer will power compatible Smart Lighting devices and the Bridge will allow you to control these devices via smart controls in the Ring app. Check out our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024928272-Ring-Smart-Lights-Transformer-Information) for more information on the Transformer and Bridge.
