Bought a Brand New Ring - says I need to transfer ownership

I bought a Ring device new from my local Home Depot. In setting it up, it’s claiming I need permission from its previous owner.

Is it possible that this was returned to the store after the fact and now I’m stuck waiting for two weeks? What other options are there?

Hi @Robertcleach. If you purchased this device form Home Depot and you are getting an ownership error, I suggest returning it to Home Depot. It is absolutely possible that this was returned and put back on the shelf by mistake.
