I’m really disappointed in Ring’s smart lock integration. I tried the 2 coolest locks: August, usually rated as the best overall, and Level, which is a great stealth option, but only works with a single previous-gen device.
Both integrations have been promoted, and neither actually works.
At this point I’m not sure why Ring puts the lock integration so front and center, it really is not at the quality level of a consumer-friendly product. Might as well unlaunch it entirely not to give customers false hopes that they can unlock their front door from the app.
