I have a specific question I haven’t been able to find the answer to. I am new to Ring and have a few cameras on a house I purchased for my daughter and her friends to live in at college. So far I have been able to navigate though the app and get things customized the way I want. The only thing I haven’t been able to find…Is there a way to stop the notifications when the mode is changed from disarmed to away or from away to disarmed etc? Once the kids move in I don’t want to be getting a message/alert every time they arm or disarm the cameras. I plan to keep the app on my phone while they are there in case I need to check something but don’t need to be alerted if they turn it on or off.
Hi @flyin-lowe. You can configure your Alarm Alerts in the Ring app. To do this, navigate to the Settings menu > Alert Settings > Alarm > PUSH > Mode Updates. I hope this helps.
I do not have the alarm, only the doorbell camera. When I go to the settings in my app I have general settings which includes name, address, sos. and then have location settings which include modes, geofence, shortcuts, shared access, and neighbors settings. I scrolled through those and am not seeing and “push” or mode updates? Are the directions you mentioned above specific to the doorbell camera?
Hi @flyin-lowe. My apologies. The information I gave you was only relevant to the Ring Alarm system, which also uses Modes.
No worries, thanks for taking the time to help. Hopefully someone can chime in and let me know if this notification can be shut off on the camera’s in “modes” or not.
Hi @flyin-lowe. No, there is no Alarm Alerts setting under the Settings menu if you do not have a Ring Alarm system set up. I’d recommend adding this suggestion to our Feature Request board, which we use to gather and share new ideas with our teams here. Thank you for your feedback!
