I am missing the app alert tones, no windchimes or any of the Ring alert tones.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, 4 times, deleted the cache and data, rebooted the handset, installed the app, and nothing is appearing for app alert tones.

I have checked my files, nothing.
I have checked SD card, nothing, how do I get the Ring app alert tones back?

Hi @user79017. Thank you for sharing which troubleshooting steps you have already tried. Can you please share a screenshot of what options you’re seeing under the App Alert Tones in the Ring app? Which version of the Ring app are you currently using? What is the make and model of your phone, and what OS version do you have installed? I’d be happy to look into this with my team once we have some more information.

I’m only allowed to upload one screenshot apparently?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app constantly but no Ring App tones appear.
I think the version of the Ring App is 3.70.0?

I have the same problem after upgrading my phone - alert tones in ring no longer provide the wide range of actual ring provided tones – only the android options.

I’ve just upgraded from Samsung s9 to s24. The full range of alert tones were available in ring on the s9, but not on the s24.
I can see the tones in" internal storage/notifications" but they don’t present in the ring tone selection screen (or in any tone selection for any app or settings).
There is NO pop up option or any menu setting to direct ring to the tones.
They are on the device, but nothing seems to want to access them.
ring version 3.70.0, Android version 14
There must be an option somewhere in ring or in android settings, surely?

Found the problem - the ring alert tones have lost their file suffix.
Change name to have “.ogg” on the end and it becomes available and works fine.
