I have a Doorbell 2. There is a Quick Release Battery Pack for sale which says compatible with the Doorbell 2. Anyone got one that can confirm this? Thanks
My Ring 2 doesn’t have a quick release battery? The sticker on the back says it’s 2nd-gen and that’s what I bought but I can’t remove the battery? Am I supposed to be able to?

Not sure as only just got my Ring Doobell. The product page https://en-uk.ring.com/products/quick-release-battery-pack says:
"Compatible with:
- Video Doorbells including Video Doorbell 2, Video Doorbell 3, and Video Doorbell 3 Plus"
Just wondering if anyone could confirm it is actually comapatible with Video Doorbell 2. However I doubt it as like you I have the Video Doorbell 2nd Generation. No idea what the Video Doorblell 2 is as not available to buy
Just to clarify:
The is an older version Ring Video Doorbell 2. It does use the Quick Release Battery.
The is a more recent Ring Video Doorbell (Generation 2). It does NOT use the Quick-Release-Battery (QR-battery is not compatible). It has a different internally-mounted battery.
These two different Ring Doorbells look similar but are very different. It is easy to get them confused because of they both have the number 2 in their name.
Hope you find this information useful
Yeah the definitely need to clarify this in the page.
A quick search on the web will tell you that all OLD versions have quick release but not newer versions.
So I’m guessing anything after 2020 will not have a QR.
