This is the 2nd chime that has ceased to work in 3 years. Seem to have a lifespan just past the warranty period and then die. It simply does not power up and work?
Hi @RFinKits. Have you tried resetting your Chime? Try resetting it by holding down the reset button on the side for at least 15 seconds. Make sure you try different power outlets as well. If it still will not reconnect or show any lights, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. They’ll be able to take a deeper look at your device and offer more advanced troubleshooting steps to determine what’s going on. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support.
so RING can you please tell me why your customer service is so difficult to get a hold off? online chat does not support technical issues and have you tried calling your toll free number lately? Its seriously convoluted and I never got hold of anyone. My 2nd chime has now died completely and i’m unable to reset it. That’s 2 in 3 years which in my opinion means you are making a very inferior product. Not sure what to tell you but your customer service is not much better. How hard is it to reach a person who would be willing to help a customer out?
@RFinKits I apologize for any inconvenience, but our chat support does not offer troubleshooting assistance at this time. Our support team is more than happy to assist with this concern over the phone at one of the numbers available here. Our hours of operation have changed in response to COVD-19, and you may experience longer than usual wait times, but for any warranty or replacement inquiries, you would need to reach back out to our support team.
