Advanced motion settings is causing distorted recordings

I have the ring video doorbell 2 about a week ago I noticed that recordings seemed a bit pixelated. Now all of the sudden the picture is mainly grey with some random pixels of colour. Sometimes motion distorts the grey. And sometimes the picture is smaller in the box. Sometimes it’s only pixelated. But if I turn off advanced motion detection, the new recordings are fine. But this eats the power. The wifi connection is fine. RSSI-48 in green I can’t find anything else that notes this issue. Help. The non advanced locations are terrible. ![IMG_1820|230x500](upload://7B9Zx4M3mp8VMnAq7RfVoSsNOuE.jpeg)

Hi @userchaos. Make sure to update your Ring app to the latest version, then perform a reboot using the [reboot option](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera) on the Device Health page. The reboot should only take a few moments, and is a good troubleshooting step to help clear up performance issues. If this issue persists, it would be best to get in touch with our support team so they can take a deeper look at things on the back-end. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here.](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Contact-Us) If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
