Why is it not available in Canada? Is it an issue with Ring or MyQ? If Ring, what is the point in limiting functionality based on country?

I found a loophole for Canadians. 1. Download GPS emulator app to spoof location 2. Pick any zip code and turn it on 3. Open ring app 4. Add device, select new location 5. Type in US address 6. Continue to go through the motions of adding the device. 7. When you can't get any further, quit setup

Hi. I am in the US and I have the same issues as above in connecting myQ in my Ring App. I follow the steps:1. Set up a device2. Garage Door Openers3. I get a MyQ page and less the begin setup icon4. I get a page asking me first link my amazon account5. I then enter my ring user and password6. I then login to my Amazon account As my Amazon account is already linked I get a message as such. The process then stops and there is no way to continue to adding MyQ. I am in the US so I should be able to do connect MyQ. Can you help please?

I just got the phone with Ring support. They said you have to have the Ring security hub for this to work.

I was able to get the MyQ garage door and sensor linked with ring. My question is why can’t the garage door be added to the security of ring? It show the status and the MyQ app will send my phone a notification but it will not set off the alarm. I would like to have ring go into alarm if the door is opened when set to “home” but not when “away.” Reason: if asleep, I want to be awakened if the door is somehow opened. If away, Amazon delivery or returning home should not go into alarm. This can be done by adding a second door sensor to the garage door but that would be redundant and the magnet doesn’t attach easily with door’s the lifting cable at the edges.

Seem wrong that you can link MyQ but not use the door sensor. If you put motion sensor in garage, there is no way to trigger disarm countdown if you enter through garage door.
