Without pre-roll (or pre-recording), cameras are not effective security cameras because the recordings miss a lot of important motion. I was thinking about using Ring Stick Up wired as outside security cameras to replace another brand, but once I learned that Ring Stick Up wired did not have pre-roll, I returned them all because without pre-roll, the cameras are just toys to do live view.... As far as I can tell, most of the Ring competitors have pre-roll for their wired cameras.
