Buying a product like ring that is cloud native and Amazon owned, you really expect the connectivity to be better than this. I also use Alexa as a home assistant. Ok, I can see the ring cam on my echo device, but I cannot get Alexa to change on ring. And I cannot do it via ifttt.

Considering I also pay 100$ annually for the cloud solution and storage, I would really expect more.

This should really be higher up on the list of priorities, or I will consider changing for a different solution.

I agree this should be native functionality in rings IFTTT integration, but for what it’s worth this can be achieved by using IFTTT + voicemonkey to trigger an Alexa routine that sets the mode. Sucks that you need to pay a subscription to voicemonkey to get this to work though
