Please offer 18650 batteries for the Ring Solar Step Lights. Half of my 11 step lights don’t get enough sun to charge in the winter months. I need some backup batteries to swap out during that season. Ring just tells me to buy some no name batteries from Amazon, but Ring doesn’t seem to understand that there are two different 18650 batteries, with and without circuit protection. They are different lengths due to the added circuitry and the reps I spoke with don’t know which one it is. I would feel better purchasing Ring branded batteries.
I run these in my ring lights without issue. I also have a stand-alone charger for the batteries so I can charge and swap them out with ease.
