Adding new ring spotlight not updating

I keep trying to add my new spotlight, after I click the bridge it goes to update and keeps saying my iPhone disconnected and telling me to check the batteries. I just bought brand new batteries and my iPhone is on the same wifi and is right next to the spotlight. This is getting very frustrating. I bought the starter pack and the first one connected fine and this one won’t work.
