Unable to reset Ring video Doorbell 3 with removable battery.

I am unable to re=connect my vid doorbell to my wi-fi (despite no wi-fi settings changes in years ?). I've attempted to run through the set-up assistance to reconnect etc etc but the orange reset button does not switch the device to the spinning white ring my device continues to intermittent flash a full circle blue light . My other option is to reset the device also does not work after depressing the orange button for 20 secs ? any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
