Ring Doorbell Pro - Motion Sensitity
Hi all, I am having a bit of a struggle with the motion sensitivity of my doorbell. Overnight, as there are loads of cars driving by my road, if I keep sensitivity to a high, an event is triggered every time a car passes by because of their lights... so I found a balance where only actual motion is captured. However, with day light, that balance barely captures anything, i have to bring it back sensitivity to very high to actually capture all motion. Two times had people come by today and it didnt trigger anything... is there a way of automatically changing sensitivity based on a schedule or through IFTTT or anything? Btw, I have tweaked the motion zones to avoid the places where the car lights most often trigger motion... but there is just so far you can go with that... Thanks

I had similar problems. I’ve tweaked sensitivity and the motion zones as much as possible but what made everything work perfectly, was to set the motion frequency to ‘frequent’. (It now drains my battery by about 1% per day so I’ve bought a spare for £20 from Argos). I suppose eventually I’ll hard wire it, but for now the problem is solved.
