Ring doorbell, new battery not working

I purchased a spare battery a while ago for my ring doorbell that is working fine. When i fully charge the battery and insert it nothing happens. Ring sent me a replacement but the same thing happens. My original battery works fine but if i swap it out for another fully charged battery it does not work.
