Ring Pro v2 wired doorbell goes offline

I'm on the verge of giving up on this piece of tech and going back to a normal bell.   Everyday it just drops, the internet is fine, how do I know - I work from home so on it all day plus I have a 15 year old daughter so believe me I would know if not working.   The doorbell simply goes offline.   I have to go in the garage turn off the RING wired adaptor and then wait for it all to hopefully come back alive.   So I'm stuck, is it the adapter or internet, I'm reluctant to buy a new adapter and run the cable for it to only keep dropping.  firmware etc all upt o date.
