Ring Pro 2 Wont Ring Chime in Home

My Ring Pro 2 doorbell rang for a short time inside the home after initial installation, but stopped. Now it only rings outside. Yesterday I called customer service and the answer I got after a little bit of troubleshooting was, “buy a new chime”. Well, I tested the chime today by hooking the wires from the side traditional doorbell to the front chime wires (that normally have the Ring hooked up) and it works fine. Also, when I take the Pro Power Unit out, it works fine. Lastly, my Chime is listed on the Ring Help tab as being able to support Ring 2 Pro (I have a Liberty Model 56 Quality and a 16 volt transformer). Some posts say I don’t need the Pro Power kit, others do. What is the answer? All I want is a Ring product that works the way it should!
