Event history time is wrong
My Ring doorbell event history is showing the wrong time on the video when I view the video and seems Ring is giving me the run around with this problem. If I have to give the video to the police department for evidence they will not be able to use it because of the wrong time it's showing on the video. Has anybody else had this problem? And what's the cause of the problem?.

UMy event history time for recorded events is incorrect when a recorded video is viewed in the app. The recorded time shown in the lower right corner of the videos is off by 7 hours which is the 7 hours ahead by UTC time. However when I downloaded several of the videos from the ring app to my phone and played them back outside of the ring app the recorded time that appears in the lower right of the recorded video is the correct time for when the event occurred and not 7 hours off. This appears to be a problem that nearly all ring users are having since early June 2024. I followed all the recommended fixes including deleting and reinstalling the app. Updating and verifying my location in the app rebooting my ring devices. I used to be able to see the firmware version to check it in the app but that information doesn't appear in the device health list anymore. Since the videos show the correct time on the video for when they were recorded after they are downloaded from the app i can only conclude that the ring servers are displaying the incorrect time in the history display when I select a video and play it back in the app. Ring needs to fix this on their end

I am having the same issue. My time zone is correct but my videos are 4 hours ahead. However in the history, the time is correct. I hope they address this issue. If 3 of us have a problem, I am sure more people do too

Yes, I have been having the exact same issue of late. It is concerning and I've spent precious time researching this. I see you all must have done the same to wind up here. I almost made changes in my account based on a resolved issue about updating address after first removing protection and adding back, which was supposed to reset location. But this seemed related to prior issue where overall time was off, not just a difference in recorded video times. Mine is off by seven (7) hours!!! Ring, please correct this and inform your subscribers. Thank you.

I am having the same issue. It just started recently. The time stamp when logging into the website is correct. The time stamp on the app is off by hours. I suspect the recent app update has a significant bug. A ring rep on another thread commented that the time stamp runs of a "universal adjusted time" (maybe wrong term) but it makes no sense that they would make that big of a change without notifying anyone. My recordings are about useless if something happens as I use my phone nearly 100% of the time and the date stamp there is off. What on earth could they have been thinking??? I hope they push out a fix rather than give us an answer that makes no sense to placate us.
