Wasted 5 days with Ring support and they are useless

I have a Ring spotlight camera that refuses to go into "live mode". They had me waste money on a Ring Chime, that didnt help. Told me to get my internet provider to come out and fix my internet issue, they charged me $250 for the service call and there was nothing wrong with the internet. I have spent the past 5 days on the phone with Ring and now they are telling me its the "firmware update" that is failing and the camera is out of warranty. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against Ring. Their customer support is awful and they are costing customers a lot of money and no support on fixing issues.

    I'm having the same exact problem. everything in the house works on the Wi-Fi but the ring bells they worked just fine until last week when I could see on the app, they were updating and then they just kept going off-line and online and now completely off-line. They will not go back to the Internet. I have had my Internet service provider at my house twice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my Internet, but ring is telling me it's my Internet , no it's not. It's something in their Software Update,  so they refuse to fix or adjust or even acknowledge that it's their error.

      Hi @user_cc9bf1. Is there a specific error message you're receiving when you try to activate Live View? What is the RSSI listed as on the Device Health page? This tells us how strong the wifi signal is. I'm happy to try and provide some general troubleshooting assistance, though I do not have access to any device information since the Community is a public forum. Hi @user_bc5bc6. What is the most recent RSSI listed as on the Device Health page for your Ring Doorbell? If the Doorbell is disconnecting from the wifi frequently, the issue could be an unstable signal. How far is the Ring Doorbell from the wifi router?

        Thank you for replying back. I cannot tell you the RSSI number because they won't even go back online. Ring sent me a chime pro to help with the problem, that linked up immediately to the router but the ring bells won't hook up to that either. They say connecting at get stuck at 95%  while connecting. So I deleted all them off my app, including the chime pro (even know its connected) but nothing for it to link up with.  I don't believe that’s the issue. They were  always working  fine. As soon as they got done updating on the app, they kept going off-line and online. My Internet service provider Century Link has come to my house twice and rewired and even talked to Ring advance IT support and they cannot get the cameras back online. This all started after my cameras were updated via Ring. I have 3 ring door bells, all having the same problem after they updated them.  So I currently have a network ticket pending through  ring network support, but nobody has got back to me. I called today to check on the ticket and they said it still open and pending. But somebody at Ring told me other Century Link customers are experiencing the same problem. I’m not sure. I believe this is a software issue that needs to get figured out. Because there is absolutely nothing wrong with my Internet, my modem , my wiring or signal. They have done multiple tests on my Internet and there’s nothing wrong with it.

      I'm having the exact same problem.  Ring doesn't want to accept that the problems it theirs.
