Stick up Cam is a disaster

I'm sorry, but your stick up camera is a disaster. Or maybe it is your ridiculously slow App, or a combination of both. I have one stick up camera overseeing my patio and a doorbell camera at the front door. First of all, both cameras are pathetically slow to recognize motion, so half the time a person, animal, etc. coming by is almost out of the frame before it captures it on video. And yes, I have tried adjusting Motion Detection Sensitivity, but when I move the slider to a higher sensitivity setting I've been getting errors when I try to save it. Then when I get motion detected at either location your App takes way to long to open up and show the live view or the video. Even if I wanted to speak to the person at the front door I can't because he has gotten 10 yards away before your app opens up. And yes, I have the most recent updated version of your App. I don't really want to hear the cop out excuse that my Wifi connection must be bad - it isn't. Any other devices that I have operate totally fine and speed tests have all come back very high. Today, I had motion of some sort at my patio stick up camera. I say "some sort" because the only video I can see is totally black - and it is daytime. So hopefully it wasn't a burglar, since I would have no way of knowing. Thanks for making me feel all safe and secure Ring. You guys really need to fix all of these issues, otherwise your cameras are total junk and not worth the money or the time to continue screwing around with it.

Since you don't want to be told it's you, I won't. May as well return them. Mine work great and so do most of the millions that have been sold.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us @LittleFrenchy. In many cases, a slow connection or delay in communication is due to wifi signal strength. Check out our [Community post about RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t5/General-Questions/How-it-Works-Your-Ring-Device-RSSI-Good-vs-Poor/m-p/751#M4) for tips on optimizing signal strength. As you stated your wifi signal strength is sufficient, keep in mind mobile device connection is another signal variable to consider. Please ensure bluetooth and VPN is disabled on your mobile device. I often recommend testing events and live views on wifi only, and cell data only, to see if one connection is better than the other. Removing and reinstalling the Ring app on your mobile device can also help with optimal operation. At Ring we like to provide numerous options to obtain the best experience possible. Check out our Rapid Ring app which is designed for the quickest real time answering and live view connection with your Ring devices.
