I cannot remove a deactivated device

Hi, I have removed 2 devices and they are showing as a blank screen on the ring app and deactivated. There is no option (or circle logo) to remove the deactvated devices from my dashboard. How do I do this?

Hi @user_7c57ec. Apologies for any confusion, but deactivating a device does not remove it from your account. Deactivating allows you to retain access to that device's videos, so the device is still on your account. Walk through the setup process again for each device on your account, then navigate to Device Settings > General Settings > Remove Device > Delete Events.

I am having the same problem. I had a defective Ring Stickup camera that was replaced by Ring. The deleted Stickup camera is showing on my dashboard as "Deactivated". There is no Device Settings (gear) icon in the top left corner, like there are on my other 6 devices. When I click on the red circle with a slash through it, it tells me "This camera has been deactivated. You cannot start Live View, but event history and recordings are still available until their storage time is over". There are two click on options; Learn More and Got It. Clicking on Learn More takes you to a screen that tells you how to delete a device (which is where I started from!!!). Clicking on Got It Takes you back to the Dashboard. I was told to reinstall the camera and then delete it. The camera has been returned to Ring! It seems to be a common problem thatmany people are experiencing.

Hi @user_6701f0. Are there still videos available in the Event History for this device? Deactivating a device doesn't fully remove it from your account, as it allows you to retain access to videos until the storage time ends. You may need to follow up with our support team to see what options are available in this case, since this was a device you returned. You can reach out to our social support team @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram.
