Floodlight Cam Pro two much light for motion to turn on lights

I just bought several Floodlight Cam Pro devices. When there is motion the lights do not turn on. We came to the conclusion that its not turning on because another light by the garage (that is on dusk to dawn setting) is keeping the area "too bright" for them to turn on. Seems crazy that there is not an override for this issue. Has anyone come up with a workaround?
