Black and white live view

I have a indoor plug in stick up cam and the last few days the live view has gone black and white.Unplugged the cam for 5 minutes and plugged it back in and all was well until the next morning I noticed it was back to black and white again. Did a full uninstall/reset this time and once again it fixed the problem...until the next day when it was back to black and white .Only had the cam a couple of months so a fault or was it the last update to blame?
