Ring email scam?

Hi, I just received an email (supposedly from Ring) saying that they missed charging me for the Yearly Ring Protect Basic plan, and that they will be charging the amount to my payment method soon. However, my plan is not due for it's renewal until June 2022. Is this a scam, or is it just a mistake on Ring's part? Thanks, Zoe
