How to I cancel my yearly subscription and receive refund

I cancelled my yearly subscription plan a while ago but haven’t received a refund , after reading various posts I don’t think I cancelled it properly as it just says renew September 2025 so I think I have cancelled it so it doesn’t renew next year not immediately which is what I want but there appears to be no way of doing this now , can someone please offer me some assistance with this
