Strange issues in latest version of app (alarm event, disarm countdown?)
Last Friday I had a strange event where my Ring alarm went off a few minutes after I left the house and I couldn't disarm via the app (it said the service was unavailable). Luckily Ring called about the alarm and I was able to tell them not to dispatch the police. What caused the alarm was puzzling: we armed away then left. During the exit delay, my wife realized she forgot something, went back into the house, and disarmed Ring. Then she armed it away again and we left. About 90 seconds later (we were already out of the neighborhood) I got the alarm event triggered by the front door. From what I could tell in the event history, a bunch of events were logged out of order and it looked like the opening of the front door from the FIRST time we left caused the alarm for the SECOND arming of the system. What? So there's that. Then when I went into the app this morning (after I disarmed the alarm from a keypad), I saw this strange countdown saying the alarm would sound but the countdown was on the Disarmed status?? Now, the alarm DIDN'T go off when that timer reached zero, but what the heck is going on with the app?
