Random Door Open Events - Wired Door Sensor Resistance
It seems like I get random events that arent listed in my alarm history or any device history. I just get the door open chirp from the base station. On my retrofit alram I also get random open/close events. Im thinking the sensor is possible bad, but it seems to work 90% of the time. The sensors are very basic and seem like it would just stop working if it was bad. When I measure resistance when closed it is about 22 ohms. Is this resistance too low on the retrofit threshhold? My other wired door sensor has a resistor on it and measures 1k ohms when closed and never has an issue.

Have you found a resolution to this issues? I have been having the same issue for months. I have the same issue and it has triggered false alarm overnight and even when I was on vacation. It is very strange because it randomly happens with different doors that are wired through retrofit kit. I noticed sometimes the doors would show as open even if they are closed. Sometimes it would work when I go open and close the door or I would simply have my Ring app restart, then the doors would magically show as closed. I actually called Ring customer service and they were unable to assist me with this. They told me it would be the door magnet problems but I doubt it is because then why would it show as closed when I restart Ring app? I would be very interested in finding out if anyone was able to resolve this issue successfully.
