I’ve got some older Gen 1 extenders and am having some communication issues with my z-wave devices at the edge of my home - even after moving the extenders to more strategic locations. Is the Gen 2 extender any better / enhanced than the Gen 1? I’m happy to replace them but also not interested in throwing $$ away.

User Solution
Only design differences between Gen1 and Gen2 Extender. I had to go minimum 2 Extenders in my XXXX sq/ft two-story house, but I do have outdoor Contact Sensors. I had connection issues but placed the Extenders on the upper floor, the additional height seemed to solve the problem.
