2nd generation motion detection

I just installed my system, the 2nd gen motion detector worked for a short while (45 minutes) but no longer does it pick up motion. I reset it, removed and re-installed and the Single green flash = Communication is successful. It’s working. Batteries are fine/ Any ideas on next steps?
