Elite Doorbell that has let water in and RING say the fault is weather related but not warranty.

So I just spent ages with Ring Customer Service. My Elite Doorbell has condensation behind the camera after less than 6 months outside. It was raining yesterday and the condensation is weather related damage and not covered by warranty. RING were at pains to point out that the device is weather resistant and not weather proof. I live in the UK and I would consider the doorbell set 1.8m above the ground at the front door should withstand weather. Apparently not. Can anybody recommend an alternative brand to install that is better suited to rain?
