Chime Pro functionality

I am currently having issues with my Internet that won't be resolved until tomorrow. In the meantime, my ring peephole cam doorbell is still able to function as a doorbell and rings when the button is pressed. My Chime Pro does not ring even though the doorbell is connected directly to the chime's internal network. Does the chime pro require an internet connection in order to ring?
