With 2FA to mobile push, how will those with no access to mobile view cameras?
I have several ring devices, and have been loving them. I love the fact I can view when I am away from home, and do not have access to a mobile device. I work in a government facility, and we do not allow mobile phones on site. I love the fact that I can check on my house from work, with the authentication code emailed to me. Now ring wants to remove this feature, and only give the option of text message or Authenticator app. How will those of us who don’t have access to a mobile device be able to access their ring account? Or does ring only want us to be able to view our cameras while we are at home? Is there a way to keep the email authentication? Or do I need to go to a different brand of cameras? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I find it interesting that you say "unique situation" with regards to the staff working at Government facilities. My state alone has over 300,000 government employees, and that does not include contractors. But I digress. I can see I am not the only one who has requested that this option not be removed. I can only hope you continue to allow this option, as I have been happy with my Ring devices so far, and would hate to have to replace all of them.

I am in a similar situation - Ring will become useless to me without e-mail verification (unless 2FA is removed completely).

Hey neighbors. Over the past year we have been making various efforts to ensure our neighbor’s safety when using their Ring products and services. In an effort to stay in line with industry’s best practices, Ring is phasing out email as a method of account verification as a part of [Two-Step Verification](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052326012-Changing-your-method-of-receiving-a-verification-code-from-email-to-text-message), and the options that neighbors have now to log in are the SMS or an Authenticator App. If you are unable to use SMS verification, we recommend [using an Authenticator App](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360061508852-How-to-Download-and-Use-an-Authenticator-App-), which can be installed on a mobile device, PC, or laptop.

Hi @XR8Chic. Here at Ring, the safety and security of your Ring account is a top priority. For this reason, we've implemented an additional layer of security to your account. Details about our 2 Step Verification process can be found [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-au/articles/360024511592-Two-factor-security-authentication-with-Ring-products#:~:text=Two%2Dfactor%20authentication%20means%20that,in%20addition%20to%20your%20password.). I value your feedback and I can share this unique situation with my team in hopes to find a method that works for you. In the meantime, I suggest creating a Feature Request so other neighbors who have a similar concern can share their feedback as well. You can find our Feature Request Board [here](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24).
