Removal of modes

How nice of ring to remove the one feature that everyone uses in their product in an effort to squeeze more money out of the customer. I have enjoyed my ring product and was willing to pay more for the service after my prepaid contract expired. Removing functionality during a prepaid contract is unacceptable.As a retired IT professional, I am now making it my mission to steer current and future customers away from ring. To date, I have convinced multiple customers to not renew their service and have provided options for more reputable companies. Since I have time on my hands, I frequently loiter around the ring cameras at Home Depot and Walmart, explaining to people all the other options and to avoid ring products.It gives me great satisfaction to know that while ring screwed me half way through my prepaid contact, I have cost them thousands in new product sales and service renewals.
