Ring video doorbell 2

Hi all, I have a concern with my front door ring doorbell 2. I have been using it inside the apartment and it works just fine, but now when I try placing on the front door it will freeze up. Like if it was out of range. Is located only 40 feet from the modem and router. I also have a Range Extender closer to the front door and still don’t work. Any advice ?Thank you
