Ring doorbell announcements

My Amazon Echo won’t announce when the ring door bell has been pressed. It is set up correctly and I can ask Alexa to show me the live feed, which it does, but it still doesn’t announce when pressed. The ring doorbell has no issues announcing on my phone either. I have Dias led and uninstalled the app but still no success. Again it is set up correctly in the devices tab under announcements. My apps are all up to date as well. This has been going on for the last 6 months or so. Any advice?
