Ring Intercom, I cannot open door directly from app without user press on panel

Hi, I don't understand why I cannot open directly the main door without an user physically pressing the button on the panel first. This cannot be a technical issue because I CAN open the door via ring intercom by asking it to Alexa (Amazon Echo)

Hello,   many thanks for the message.   Is the button in the App grayed out? What exactly happens when you get the message that someone is at the door?
