too many taps/clicks to get to live view
the following concerns iOS app, for users not subscribed to any protection plan. whether you are want to view live view from the app homepage OR a notification about an alert, it takes way too long and too many screen taps to get to live view. especially with notifications of alerts, we are directed to a static page that shows timeline history with “protection plan inactive” instead of showing us the alert that happened seconds ago. i don’t know if this is a move to make the app more difficult for users who do not pay monthly but it is ridiculous and is one of the things pushing me away from Ring among the neighbourhood posts asking for “local barbers”.

Hi @jawfur. If you're on the Ring app homepage, you should be able to tap on a camera preview to activate the Live View. Make sure you have the Tap Camera Preview for Live View option toggled on, under Device Settings, Video Settings. If this is toggled off, tapping the camera preview will open the Event History Timeline first instead of the Live View. Since you do not have an active Ring Home plan, you do not have access to video recording. This is why you're seeing that screen when you tap on a motion alert after the motion has happened.
