Loosing wifi signal
troubleshooting
Just got a ring door bell. After setting up and mounting at my front door, I have found it has a weak WiFi signal, and keeps dropping out. It is only 20ft away from the router and my phone has full signal at the same point. So my impression of this premium product is it looks the part but it's not very good or fit for purpose. I'm sure cheaper products would work better. I Suppose I'm going to have to get a signal booster. Would advise anyone to look elsewhere.

Hi @user_53ba40. We typically recommend that your Ring Doorbell be within 25 feet of the router, so 20 feet should be okay. However, different materials can cause interference and affect this signal. A wifi extender, placed halfway between the Doorbell and the router, should help with providing a strong and stable signal to the Doorbell.
