Hard wiring ring doorbell 3

Hi I have a problem when I hardwire my ring doorbell 3 to a byron 766 it just hums? And dose not work

Hi @richardlane44. A humming chime kit can be related to a few things. One reason could be that the chime kit is incompatible and the second would be that the wrong chime kit type is selected in the Ring app. First, check this list [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045180971-Ring-Video-Doorbell-3-Plus-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List) to see if your chime kit is compatible. Next, check the type of chime kit you have selected in the Ring app. To do this, select your Doorbell, then select Device Settings > General Settings and chose the correct chime kit type, mechanical or digital.
