I’m sick and tired of my doorbell failing to get video evidence when a crime has been committed at my property. It picks up people walking their dogs people walking past but last night my sister was alerted to someone outside so she went to look because someone had sat on my car and dented the bonet . Ring doorbell did not capture any of this crime and it’s in plain view of the front of my house. This has happened maybe 6 times in 4 years when you need ring it totally fails to do what it supposed to do. Why am I paying so much for a service that doesn’t work. I’m disgusted with you all

Hi @user_d3f372. Ring Doorbells do not record continuously, only when motion is detected, someone rings the Doorbell, or the Live View is activated. If you find that motions are not being detected, the first step is to review and adjust your motion settings. It may take some trial and error to find a combination of settings that works best for you.   Make sure your Motion Zones cover the areas you want to be notified about motion in, and increase the Motion Sensitivity. For battery powered Doorbells, check the Motion Frequency setting under Motion Settings > Advanced Settings. If you have an active Ring Home plan, you'll have access to Smart Alerts, which can affect what motions are recorded.
