Correct height for Battery Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen)

I know this might be a stupid question so bear with me.The installation instructions for this device suggests that the position of the doorbell should be 48 inches above the ground.My doorstep is approximately 6 inches abovethe ground.So do I install this 48 inches from the ground or the doorstep?Thanks in advance.
