Question

I recently hard wired my video doorbell, but have just had a notification telling me I’ve to manually charge the battery as it’s at 5%, I thought hard wiring it would mean I didn’t have to unscrew doorbell etc to re-charge the battery?

Hi @user_8421df. Hardwiring a battery powered Ring Doorbell provides a trickle charge to the battery, but the Doorbell is still powered by the battery. This can result in the battery draining more quickly than it can be charged via the wiring. I'd recommend charging up the battery, then monitoring how many events your Ring Doorbell is recording each day.
