Motion detection delayed a few seconds

I have a Ring Video Doorbell 2 hardwired. My RSSI is -57. It seems like my notifications are far too delayed... it will catch a truck on the outer periphery no problem (which it shouldnt because i have zones set up to supposedly NOT catch those things), but i get a 3 or 4 second delay with a person walking right up to the door. Any ideas why?
