Converting Wired Doorbell Pro Plugin kit, and chime to fully wired with a wired in digital chime and transformer
Hi I have a working Wired Doorbell Pro (formerly Video Doorbell Pro 2) plug in kit and pro chime. In the event of wifi failure I would like to convert it to wired AND include a wired digital chime for the times wifi is down. I have to remove the old chime box and transformer. I will use the 8-24 VAC, 10-40VA, 50/60Hz transformer and enclosure on the upgrade install. I have an old Honeywell DC915SCV 9 Series Doorbell Converter Kit from when the mechanical chime was being used. I assume that this can’t be used with the ring doorbell? If that is the case . . . I am looking for advice on a decent compatible wire digital chime with wringing/connection recommendation. Thanks

Hi @user_c1156f. It sounds like you're using the Plug-In Adapter to power your Doorbell. You cannot have your Doorbell connected via the Plug-In Adapter and an existing doorbell circuit with a chime kit. If you're looking to swap the installation from the Plug-In Adapter to the doorbell wiring entirely, then you'll want to make sure you select a compatible chime kit. Additionally, please ensure that the Pro Power Kit is properly installed.
