Night Vision Won't Turn Off

I have a stick up camera that is battery/solar powered. I have an issue with the night vision not turning off but only at night. When I set the night vision and color night vision off the night vision still stays on. It doesn't stay on during the day though. I have plenty of light where the camera is and don't want the night vision on at all (color or reg) but it won't turn off. Can someone please help?!
