Differentiate detection vs alerts on Mode configuration
I have a floodlight camera and I would like it to send alerts when the alarm is in Away or Home mode, but still record every time a motion is detected as there are many times I am at home but and intruder can steal something from my front garden while I get inside for a while. There is a great feature that allows you to configure the camera behaviour on different modes, but it doesn't allow us to differentiate between detection and alerts, so you can basically turn the camera on or off for the mode. For example if I don't want to get alerts every time I go to the garden, I have to disable detection when the alarm is unarmed. Other option is to enable detection but disable alerts for all modes. Neither option can do what I want , and it is a very basic behaviour, I think many people would like it to work on this way.

I really don’t understand what’s so hard about this. Most ring users are paying $100 or more per year and in the 4 years this post has been here, you guys can’t add a sensible feature that’s essentially already apart of another area of the app? I don’t get it.

Hi @ignaciotex. As we value our neighbors' feedback, we've created a [Feature Request board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24). Feel free to add this and any future feature requests there. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you make in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors that come to this thread can easily find your feature!
