Ring Security Alarm connected to ADT radio
Hi I would like to know if there is any way I can connect my Ring security Alarm to the security company ADT. They use a 12v Radio to connect to an alarm system (Ring). I am from South-Africa and we dont get the ring subscription here. Thanks

Hi Willie, Ive heard that if you subscribe to the extra monitoring service, they will call your ADT or armed response company.Theres also the tech solution, where you connect your old radio transmitter which is just a switch (relay) to the ring alarm. This can be to the panic button as someone has posted on this forum:https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/ring-alarm-hands-on-tested.XXXX/I also suspect that we could connect the radio transmitter to the siren, when the siren is triggered, it flips the radio relay switch on. Simple.

Hey @WillieO, since the Ring Alarm is only supported in parts of North America and Europe, this will be why the alarm system is not working in South Africa. The Ring Alarm system works off of Z-Wave and there are different levels of Z-Wave for each country, so you will be unable to use the Ring Alarm system in South Africa. Hope this helps clear this up for you!
